It's an emotional adjustment modifying your diet to low carbs.
I'm bored with food now. I used to think about it all the time. I used to worry about not having enough food because I was always hungry. Now my hungry is caged and oh so slack in comparison. And I feel rather bereft. I've lost something. My hunger really defined me, and shaped my days. I'd day dream about different dishes, think about what I was going to eat next with anticipation. Now I can't make my food nearly as interesting or compelling. I feel like a heroin junkie who's cured, but misses the lifestyle and crave that pushed all their behaviours.
Today I felt kinda sick and tired. My period is winding up, so it's not that. I think I'm getting the ketogenic flu. I crashed for a 3 hour period in the early evening. I hope I'm over it by tomorrow.
I think I'm also feeling moody because my cat died on Wednesday, but I don't expect to not feel sad about that for awhile.
I was eating for emotional reasons in the evening. I wasn't hungry really, just missing my cat, and missing eating junk food and wanting to feel different by eating. It didn't really work though. I just felt too full. You don't get the same feeling of contentment from carbs. You get full, but you don't get the quick rush and mood alteration.
I got some rush from eating the 1/4 grapefruit, and I think that is what triggered my missing the carbs.
I guess it's time to admit I've committed. Starting tomorrow, I'll no longer say I'm pre-induction.

80g ruby grapefruit

1t soy sauce
1/2 t sesame seeds
1 t sesame oil
1/2 t chili sauce

4 breakfast sausages
butter, salt, pepper
